Founded in 1989 as a local Traditional Jazz and Swing music festival, Jazzfest Gronau now offers an incredibly diverse range of live music for one week during April and May. While jazz, blues, funk and soul reign, more eclectic musical styles are also featured. Adjacent to the main concert hall in Bergerhalle, concerts are be held in churches, clubs and even on the streets. Every year Jazzfest Gronau presents about 40 concerts with more than 300 musicians from all over the world.

This year's Jazzfest also served as the launch of Roger Cicero & Big Band's latest tour, Was immer auch kommt-Tournee 2014. LD Andreas Fiekers specified and used a High End Systems Full Boar 4 console, supplied through AudioKonzept. Spyro Gyra and Shakatak also used the Full Boar 4 for their performance, operated by AudioKonzept's Geert-Jan Feijten. AudioKonzept's owner Juergen Bruening purchased the FB4 and Playback Wing from PreWorks last year. Augmenting the Full Boar 4 at Bruening's FOH was a Playback Wing 4 and a Nano Wing 4.

Commenting on his preference for Hog consoles, Fiekers says, "I started using the Hog around 1995 with the Hog II, and the Hog family has truly been my favorite desk since then. We started the last Roger Cicero Tour using a Road Hog 3 Full Boar. For the summer shows this year, I switched the show file over to Hog 4. Switching the show file to the new OS was done in mere minutes! Switching from Road Hog 3 to Hog 4 is a big jump in terms of increasing the performance of the desk. Switching these platforms was effortless, and if you work on Hog 3 you can work on Hog 4. For these summer shows where you often have to switch your show file to other local fixtures, the 'change fixtures' feature is very useful, because it works very precisely and makes the operator comfortable. Also, User Kinds are very useful to organize and personalize your workspace. For example, personalized wheel setups to reduce button presses for changing encoder types makes programming faster and smoother. I love that!"
