Basement Jaxx Rolls With 12 SHAPESHIFTERs

EDM superstars Basement Jaxx (Felix Buxton and Simon Ratcliffe) have led the electronic pack since their formation in the 1990s. Known as much for their electric live performances as their recordings, Basement Jaxx has relied for many years on the visual talents of lighting designer Jonathan 'Leggy' Armstrong of Symbiosis Design, who always innovatively integrates lighting and video to support the group's psychedelic soaked musical style on stage.12HED20150330.png EDM superstars Basement Jaxx (Felix Buxton and Simon Ratcliffe) have led the electronic pack since their formation in the 1990s. Known as much for their electric live performances as their recordings, Basement Jaxx has relied for many years on the visual talents of lighting designer Jonathan 'Leggy' Armstrong of Symbiosis Design, who always innovatively integrates lighting and video to support the group's psychedelic soaked musical style on stage.   One of Leggy's signature pieces for the group's latest touring -including their high profile O2 Arena show - is the High End Systems SHAPESHIFTER C1. Leggy's latest design utilizes twelve SHAPESHIFTERs in trios of eye candy to supplement the show's set design. Armstrong placed three SHAPESHIFTERs in the logo under the back truss, three more in the ‘pretzel’ shaped truss overhead, and three more on each wing. Leggy explains, "I used the SHAPESHIFTERs as centerpieces within the logo to highlight the shape. I was again very impressed with the output from the fixtures; they easily matched up to the rest of the rig. I was able to use them for wash, effects, beams and even as rear keylight on one occasion. The band loved the units, saying they had never seen anything like them before, and I even had audience members quiz me about them after several shows."  A Barco company, High End Systems is the leading manufacturer of automated and digital lighting and control
systems for the entertainment industry.12HED20150330b.png
